Lead agencies in the field encompassing mentoring children of prisoners (MCP) programs are clearly beginning to emerge as many of them received a second three-year grant from the US Department of Health and Human Services in October. Having mastered best practices from their first grant, these agencies are forming new partnerships and expanding their service areas.
